TV Watch: Parker Posey on ‘The Good Wife,’ NBC Lands Sarah Silverman Show, Western Wanted

After a bidding war with multiple networks, NBC acquired the pilot for Sarah Silverman’s latest comedic single-camera comedy from Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox Television, according to THR. Silverman, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Francie Calfo have signed on as exec producers. The semi-autobiographical show will star Silverman as a newly single woman emerging from a long-term live-in relationship.

Silverman, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Francie Calfo have signed on as exec producers. The semi-autobiographical show will star Silverman as a newly single woman emerging from a long-term live-in relationship.

-Indie darling Parker Posey will guest star on CBS’s The Good Wife this fall as the ex-wife of Eli, played by Alan Cumming, reports TVLine. Posey’s previous TV stints have included HBO’s Bored to Death, NBC’s Parks and Recreation, and Showtime’s The Big C. The show will air in October.

-TNT has ordered a post Civil War era western TV pilot called Gateway, created by Warner Horizon. The period action-adventure show will center on three brothers in small town Colorado in the 1880s.
