"Undefeated"
Harvey Weinstein was a happy man Tuesday, earning 10 nominations for Oscar front runner "The Artist," Meryl Streep and makeup for "The Iron Lady," costumes for Madonna's "W.E." and even a nomination for the doc "Undefeated."  No, it's not that film about Sarah Palin (that's "The Undefeated")--this film is about the Manassas Tigers, a football team from an inner-city North Memphis school that tries for the seemingly impossible when it attempts to become the first team in the school's 110-year history to win a playoff game.

The Weinstein Company snatched up the underdog doc from SXSW earlier this year, and plans to release the film on February 17, a little over a week before the Oscars.  In his review of the film, David Rooney of The Hollywood Reporter wrote, "It’s impossible not to root for these guys, or to leave 'Undefeated' without feeling enormously moved by the experience of their joys and disappointments."

Weinstein, of course, is gearing up for an awards push for the documentary.  Yesterday, they released an exclusive clip from the film, which you can watch below.
