While Woody Allen is skipping Cannes--because "To Rome with Love" is opening April 20 in Italy--he's bringing "To Rome with Love" to Los Angeles to open the LA Film Festival on June 14. It will be its North American premiere. Film Independent will celebrate the LAFF's eighteenth year from June 14-24 in downtown Los Angeles.

In his comedic ode to the Italian city, writer-director Allen joins a sprawling international cast: Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penélope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig and Ellen Page. Here's the trailer and more from Indiewire.

"Rome" opens stateside June 22.
