Having filmed four movies in London and one each in Paris, Barcelona and Rome, Woody Allen is coming home again. Allen's sister, producer Letty Aronson, is constantly solicited by cities from Rio de Janeiro and Stockholm to Munich and Berlin to shoot there. But the good news after Allen's Oscar-winning "Midnight in Paris" grossed $155 million worldwide: the Manhattan filmmaker can raise the funds to shoot in the U.S. again.

"Getting money in this country is impossible," Aronson told TOH earlier this year. "It would be nice to do a film in the U.S. again. But in Europe there is greater regard for the filmmaker. Woody's creative rights are non-negotiable. We don't show anyone a script. No one participates in selecting the cast, sees dailies, or the rough cut."

Now Allen can shoot his next film in the U.S., reports Variety. San Francisco and "a tiny bit" of New York are his next two primary locations, Allen revealed in Rome at the world premiere of his latest film "To Rome with Love." (The Sony Pictures Classics release will make its North American debut as the opener of the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 14.)
