"Getting money in this country is impossible," Aronson told TOH earlier this year. "It would be nice to do a film in the U.S. again. But in Europe there is greater regard for the filmmaker. Woody's creative rights are non-negotiable. We don't show anyone a script. No one participates in selecting the cast, sees dailies, or the rough cut."
Now Allen can shoot his next film in the U.S., reports Variety. (The Sony Pictures Classics release will make its North American debut as the opener of the Los Angeles Film Festival on June 14.)
