CBS Films is finally going to show its true colors under new co-presidents Terry Press and Wolfgang Hammer. They scooped up the Coen brothers' latest indie feature, "Inside Llewyn Davis," with an eye on award season. One reason it has a shot: it's about the struggles of an artist, a Village folk musician. That's inside the Academy's sweet spot.

UPDATE: Universal, Walden Media and Angelina Jolie have tapped Joel and Ethan Coen to rewrite "Unbroken." Jolie will direct the project, which is an adaptation of Laura Hillenbrand's book about Louis Zamperini, a 1936 Olympian runner who became a prisoner of war during WWII...

Check out the trailer for Michael Hoffman's "Gambit," from a script by the Coen Brothers and starring Colin Firth, Cameron Diaz, Alan Rickman and Stanley Tucci. This is an update of the original 1966 crime comedy starring the incomparable Shirley MacLaine. Looks like Firth has adopted those Michael Caine shades.
