Guillermo del Toro has signed on to produce and present Reel FX's "Day of the Dead," a CG-animated film to be directed by Jorge R. Gutierrez. Gutierrez, whose credits include "El Tigre" and "The Adventures of Manny Rivera," is writing the script with Doug Langdale. The "Romeo and Juliet" romance is set against a Mexican "Day of the Dead" backdrop. Music will play a large part in the film; A-list recording artists may be reworking iconic songs.
