Zachary Quinto and his Before the Door Pictures banner (the engine behind "Margin Call") will open the 8th Annual Hollyshorts Film Festival with the world premiere of "PERIODS.," an improv-comedy film series created by Victor Quinaz and Anna Martemucci. Video below.

The "PERIODS." shorts have built a cult following online over the past two years, and have been described as “anachronistic period pieces with costumes that a show choir would die for.”  One of the most popular episodes, "Before After," stars Quinto as a matador, a bagel-eating priest and a clown.

Advance tickets for the Hollyshorts Film Festival go on sale today.
