Two acquaintances of mine, Ryan and Jeff, have created a bloody brilliant new website, which can be found here:
If you're looking to avoid doing actual work, or are simply bored, or want to further immerse yourself in the wonderful world of music, join the club. I'm a sucker for making lists and mixes and writing reviews and all that silly stuff, so this site is like a dream come true for me. Thanks, guys! Too bad you didn't come up with this when I was temping at law firms all over midtown, back when I really needed you.
I had a revelation today. Contrary to popular opinion, I am most happy to be alone on holidays, and especially romantic ones like Valentine's Day. It's the other 350 days of the year that I wish I had someone to wake up next to. So, while I may be spending tomorrow night watching college basketball with my parents, at least I won't be on a date with someone I know I don't want to marry. Then again, if I could be with someone I really wanted to be with, well, that's a different story. But I blew that most recent chance, so alone and relatively content it is.
This afternoon, I caught myself telling my brother-in-law about a dream I had last night, like it had really happened to me. I should probably get out a little more.
On a brighter note, the heroic Todd Rohal (THE GUATEMALAN HANDSHAKE) has fixed the synch issue with the film and it appears that all will be converted and purty within the next two days. Thank God for people who know what they're doing...
