Wednesday Movie Events in LA and NYC

If you live in Los Angeles and you know what's good for you, you will go see Craig Zobel's truly excellent GREAT WORLD OF SOUND today at 4:30pm at the Majestic Crest Theatre (go here for more details). You heard it here first: GWOS is going to be at the Spirit Awards next year.

If you live in New York and you know what's good for you, you will go see Adam and Aaron Nee's giddily delightful feature film debut, THE LAST ROMANTIC, at Cinema Village at 7:30pm. The film is screening as part of indieWIRE's "Undiscovered Gems" series (go here for more details). I really, really dug this movie.

Unfortunately, I'll be missing out on both GWOS and TLR, as I'll be on a Chinatown bus heading back to Brooklyn after a desperately needed visit to Maryland to A) not spend any money, and B) make some money. Mission accomplished, yo.
