An Arthur Russell Weekend in NYC
As if missing MoMA's entire Peter Hutton retrospective weren't bad enough, I'm also going to miss this weekend's Arthur Russell tribute at The Kitchen, which kicks off tonight with two screenings of Matt Wolf's absolutely incredible Wild Combination: A Portrait of Arthur Russell. Seriously, Wild Combination is one of the best documentaries of 2008. It appears that both screenings are sold out, but if I were you, I'd go there anyway to see if you can get in somehow. I just posted my Hammer to Nail review of the film, which I watched for the second time last night. Read it here. Click on the link to The Kitchen's website above to find out about all the special events occurring this weekend. I would be there if I could. Posted by tully to Indie Film at 11:01AM on May 15, 2008
