Erin Go Bragh
This evening, my entire family is heading to Ireland for just under two weeks to partake in the first ever Tully Family Reunion (I've even dragged my poor girlfriend into the madness). My dad is one of thirteen children and I have forty-something first cousins, so this promises to be a pretty momentous occasion. But the excitement doesn't stop there. Yes, the rumors are true. Encopresis will be coming out of on-stage retirement to play a show with JT Songs, Hally and the Thinkers, and The Metaphysicians at the Laredo Records showcase in Galway on August 5th. It is quite an honor to be the first non-Irish signee to this upstart label. First up is a limited edition pressing of the 10th Anniversary Edition of my four-track mini-opus The Grape Jelly Aesthetic. After that, who knows what will happen. While I'm slightly terrified at the prospect of standing in front of people playing my simply strummed, simply written songs, I'm also looking forward to having some fun. And beatboxing. I hopefully won't be online very much while I'm over there, so don't be disturbed if I don't respond to emails or phone calls. There's a reason for that. But I'll be back soon enough. Have fun out there. I know I will... Comments
