You're welcome, Boston.
Just kidding. I know I didn't help the team win last night's game by staying home (Johnny Damon took care of that), but I followed my instincts and the unhappenable happened. Now that this series is over, the slate is clean and I can watch the series from anywhere on a guilt-free conscience.
But, wow, this was almost--don't worry, I said almost--as magical as the Terps' run in the ACC Tournament last year. Not quite, but close. I actually do think it was more amazing than the Pistons' obliteration of the Lakers, because that series was over from the beginning (minus that horrific ending to game two).
I haven't left my apartment since the game ended last night, but I feel like hopping on the train just to see all the scattered newspapers being read by disbelieving, somber faces.
The fact remains, however, that if the Red Sox don't win the series, the season will NOT be considered a success. They better have that attitude in the locker room right fucking now. If not, they're gonna be in trouble.
Sorry Yankees. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving moron than Kevin Brown. And A-Rod showed his true colors the other night. Watching him repeatedly ground out was hilarious! As for Jeter, that guy is above hatred. But, still, if I may...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
