The next phase in Danny McBride's rise to mega-stardom begins in February, when HBO unleashes his next vehicle, Eastbound and Down. Shame on me for not having seen it yet, but everyone who has says it delivers on the promise Danny exhibited in The Foot Fist Way for making a completely unredeemable character likable.
Posters are already plastered on subway station walls throughout New York City. It still provides me with a bit of a jolt every time I see Danny's face on a poster, but hopefully by the time Land of the Lost rolls out, it will become just another everyday occurrence. Things sure don't appear to be slowing down any time soon, as he's on the verge of confirming yet another, even bigger, project.
Visit the HBO website for Eastbound and Down for some video clips that prove just how awful—and hilarious—Kenny Powers is going to be.
