COCAINE ANGEL will be screening at this weekend's Jacksonville Film Festival, yet I will not be in attendance. This is unfortunate for a few reasons. Firstly, this will be the first film festival screening that I have not attended, which is a strange and yucky thought to consider. Secondly, Jacksonville is where we shot the film, and I would love to be there to personally thank everyone who gave so much time and energy to help us out. Of course, Jacksonville is Damian's town and he'll be a great host, but I just wish I could be there to fully complete the cycle. One year ago at this time we were in the middle of production, feeling good about things but wondering what was going to actually happen with it. One year later, we are doing better than we could have ever dreamed. There are a lot of people that deserve as much credit as, if not more than, Damian and myself, and here are some hugely important names:

M. SHAWN LEWALLEN
HILARY WHITE
DAVE LAHN
GARY EVERETT
DAVID WILSON
KELLY FORESTER
DANIEL COTTLE
JUSTIN HIXON
SHIMRIT BARKAI
RICHARD DAWSON
JAMEY DAWSON

I'm keeping this list relegated to those individuals who worked as crew on the film's actual production. That's it. Pretty crazy, but when you have intelligent, enthusiastic, dedicated individuals, good things happen. I'd just like to thank all of the above names, as well as all of our wonderful cast (too many to name), for being so incredible. Without you guys COCAINE ANGEL would still be a stack of paper.

The film is screening twice:

Friday May 19th at 7:30pm (tonight!!!) at the San Marco Theatre (followed by a sure-to-be drunkenly insane after-party at Riverside's legendary Starlite Cafe--I'm almost more upset that I won't be in town for that one)
Saturday May 20th at 11:00pm at Theatre Jax

Go to www.jacksonvillefilmfestival.com for details and directions, as well as to peruse the schedule, which includes three works that I can certainly vouch for:

JUMPING OFF BRIDGES
BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON
LIFELIKE

To all of you who worked on the film and read this site, I want to say thank you and I wholeheartedly apologize for not being in attendance. I have to go to New York for a christening on Saturday morning, which I can't get out of. But just know that I think all of you are amazing and I hope to get back to Jax so I can thank each and every one of you in person. Thanks!

Mike
