"What are you, twelve?"

-- Julia Roberts, chastising Jude Law's character in Mike Nichols' "Closer."

I couldn't have said it better myself. Seriously, kids, we're not in film school anymore. This type of filmmaking isn't "biting" and "edgy" and "sharp." It's silly and juvenile and dumb.

Grow up, please.

I couldn't agree more. I was so disappointed with the casting of Natalie Portman and Julia Roberts. It would have been a completely different (and better) movie with say, Samantha Morton and Cate Blanchett/Kate Winslet in those roles. There are so few good American actresses, it is really depressing.
