New Ola Podrida Album and Video!
Last night, Magnet Magazine had the privilege of world premiering the first video off Ola Podrida's endlessly rewarding new album, Belly of the Lion, which was officially released yesterday. David Wingo recruited fellow Austinites the Zellner Brothers (GOLIATH, Foxy and the Weight of the World) to work their magic on the album's closing track, "This Old World."

Be sure to check out Belly of the Lion, which I have come to determine is even better than Wingo's self-titled debut (I've been listening to it for months now and it still hasn't gotten old). As a very good friend of the aforementioned Wingo, you could say that I'm heavily biased, but all I can say to that is phooey. Friendship aside, this is one of those musical gifts that keeps on giving and is without question one of the very best releases of 2009. Buy it at Amazon
