TROLL 2 is happening tonight. Am I really alive? Is this really reality? Do impossible dreams really come true? Life on Earth... it's fantastic!

In other NYC happenings, the New York Television Festival is underway. Many more screenings to come this weekend. Go here for specifics. I can personally vouch for two pilots. They are as follows:

-- GNOME (Friday the 7th at 6:45pm, Sunday the 9th at 1:45pm) -- Will Janowitz (aka, the star of PING-PONG SUMMER) delivers an indescribably ferocious performance in this truly original comedy. Here's the festival's description:

"Gnome is an offbeat single-camera comedy in the spirit of BBC’s I’m Alan Partridge and Arrested Development. The show follows Gnome: the half-human, half forest-dwelling man who has a voracious appetite for literature coupled with a Wood Allen-level of paranoia. He strives to recapture the fame he achieved from his first novel, the cult classic “My Eight Years Jet Lagged.” Born from a forest gnome father and Jewish mother, Gnome is anything but stable; however, what he lacks in stability, he makes up for with a knack for poor decision-making."

-- THE GRASS IS GREENER (Saturday the 8th at 2:15pm, Sunday the 9th at 5:45pm) -- Randall Bobbitt's comical spin on life and dating in Los Angeles features sharp-as-a-really-sharp-blade writing. Here's the festival description:

"Before you get married but after you move in together. When you stop drinking beer and start drinking wine. When a futon is no longer a couch, when a T-shirt is not dressed up and ramen is no longer dinner. A couple and their two single friends navigate relationships while trying to hang on to their youth."
