While I'd been receiving much goading from That Very Special Someone about making sure I had proper protection for Park City, it wasn't until Eugene's post yesterday that the gravity of the situation began to fully sink in. That's because I didn't have any thermal underwear, any wool socks, or any gloves. Most importantly, the only footwear I had was a pair of nearly worn-through Dunks. Not the best recipe for Park City comfort. However, after a desperate trip to the North Charleston outlets, I am officially ready to rock. I scored some Nike sneaker-boot thingys that look like an astronaut's golf shoes, as well as the aforementioned products (socks, thermal underwear, gloves). I have a tentative press screening schedule mapped out (looks like my main focus is narratives, with a few exceptions), and I have a shuttle scheduled with the honorable David Lowery upon arrival in Salt Lake City tomorrow afternoon. At this stage, I think I'm ready to get it on.
Here are just a few of the titles that I'm most looking forward to:
The Order of Myths
And that only begins to scratch the surface. I can't wait to get out there and see everybody and have my mind blown by some crazy great cinema!
