So, I never really wrapped up my trip to New York last weekend. Suffice to say, it was a ton of fun. Thanks to everyone for attending the screening of THE HOLE STORY and especially for showing up at 151 for the after-party. Here’s a picture of Alex at the post-film Q&A:
As for Adult Camp, I think I’m still cleaning out my system. I haven’t partied like that in years. Good times, everyone, good, good times. I took a bunch of photos, but here’s my favorite:
While it appears that almost everyone who attended Adult Camp posted his or her own personal Flickr batch, Josh Levine’s five-part recap is as good as it gets. These pictures are so good that you don’t even need to know any of us to appreciate them. Seriously, check out this guy’s skills:
While we’re on the photo tip, here’s a picture of me holding Hayden Hollis Speace, the first offspring of my good buddy Brandon (and his wife Jenny). Do I look like a maniac in this thing or what? Hayden at least seems to think so:
Good buddy Jesse Sweet (partner-in-crime in the Phil Collins documentary project) published a staggeringly wonderful short story in the online periodical "Dirt." Print it out and read it on paper. It's well worth it:
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"My idea for the World Cup is to heat the yellow cards up to about 150 degrees, so that the ref really has to think hard about whether it's worth it to pull one of those suckers out of his pocket."
-- Rob Lentz
I guess that's all for today. That oughtta keep you procrastinatin' muthafuckas distracted for almost an hour. Thank me later...
