Tuesday night. 9pm. 6th and Brazos. I almost stepped in a puddle of vomit. A block later, I saw the guilty party. Hunched over and groaning, his buddy was rubbing his back as if to take the pain away. That's when I knew the tide had shifted and the music fest had projectiled its way into town.
I am back in the comfy confines of Sarasota, and while I had a blast in Austin, I was also more than ready to get out of town. I just can't do it like I used to could.
Also, I don't know if it was seeing We Live in Public, but the combination of that and my own recent feelings of grossness with regards to all of this online (Facebook!, Twitter!, etc.!) communication has made me not want to open my virtual mouth ever again. For now, I will concentrate on the task at hand over at Hammer to Nail and leave you with the best SXSW hangover remedy possible. I missed Drunken Angel: The Legend of Blaze Foley while at SXSW (friend obligations), but I will hopefully get to see it very, very soon. Do yourself a favor: stop what you're doing, sit back, relax, and enjoy this clip...
