One year ago at this time, I had just arrived in Jacksonville and the pre-production process was well underway. Oh, how times have changed. Tomorrow morning brings another airport, another hotel, and another esteemed film festival on the COCAINE ANGEL World Tour. Such is the life of a hotshot director. But in all seriousness, this weekend’s trip to Sarasota will allow me to see another of my corny wishes come true. Not only will Todd Rohal and I be screening our films at the same festival, we’re actually flying down there together. Aren't I lucky? I can’t wait to see the brand new print of THE GUATEMALAN HANDSHAKE with Wingo’s score coming out of the speakers. I’m really looking forward to the whole trip. I have a hunch that it’s gonna be a good one. If you live in or around Florida, come to Sarasota on Friday and Saturday to experience one of the most breathtakingly brilliant double features a film festival has ever programmed! (I'm talking about YOU, Tom Hall.)
Oh yeah. I really don’t have any hateful bones in my body, but all I can think of when I see Katie Couric is the word CUNT.
Sorry about that.
Have you guys heard the new Walkmen song yet? HELL YES!
