After hearing about it for well over a year now, I finally had the pleasure of seeing Doug Sadler's SWIMMERS tonight. The film is a tenderly executed portrait of a family who is struggling to survive on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Featuring gorgeous cinematography and stellar performances (a special shout-out to fellow Linganore High School alumni Shawn Hatosy), SWIMMERS deserves all the accolades that have been thrown its way.
