Let's start at the beginning. Well, not really the beginning, because it's not like this was the first film Mark and Jay Duplass ever made. But it was the first one to get them recognition on a grander scale (i.e., Sundance, SXSW, a Hollywood agent, etc.). It's a hilarious effort, a simple concept to which everyone can relate. I actually changed my voicemail message the other night and it took me at least thirty tries (no, I'm not exaggerating) before I left one that I could live with. This is even funnier because the full text of my message is, "Michael Tully." No introduction, no explanation, no nothing. Just my name. And I still couldn't get it right.
Anyway, I'm sure a lot of you have seen this, but why not revisit it one more time to appreciate how simple ideas, combined with top-notch execution, can go a very long way. And if you're watching it for the first time, you're in for a treat...
