THE PUFFY CHAIR WEEK, Part Three: "The Intervention"

Last weekend, COCAINE ANGEL screened at the Digital Barcelona Film Festival (, and I just found out that we won two awards: Best Photography (M. Shawn Lewallen) and Best Music (Max Richter, Brian Jenkins). Way to go, fellas! Bigger congrats go to Erica Dunton, who shared the Best Director prize and also walked away with Best Writing (this latter award is especially humorous as FIND LOVE was improvised). But as I said before, I am in Deep, True Love with FIND LOVE, and it makes me feel even better to win two awards at a festival where they clearly have good taste. Thanks, DiBa! Maybe next time I'll actually fly over there to say hello.

But enough about that. The day of reckoning has come. THE PUFFY CHAIR is opening in seven cities across America. If you live in or near the following places, support independent film and go see THE PUFFY CHAIR this weekend!

JUNE 2, 2006
Austin Alamo Drafthouse Downtown
Regal Arbor at Great Hills
Berkeley Landmark Shattuck Cinemas
Boston Landmark Kendall Square Cinemas
Portland Regal Foxtower 10
San Francisco Landmark Lumiere Theatre
Washington DC Landmark E Street Cinema

If you don't happen to live in or near any of the above locations but you know people who do, please send them a heads up and get them to buy some tickets.

And now, watch Jay and Mark Duplass's award-winning "The Intervention," which is about as up my alley as a short film could possibly be. Too fucking funny...
