Don't worry, this is the last post regarding COCAINE ANGEL's theatrical run. But I wouldn't be taking advantage of this outlet--or doing my job--if I didn't bombard y'all mofos with one final boom-bap of CA pluggage.
Tonight is the night. The final chance to see COCAINE ANGEL on the big screen in New York City. 9pm, The Pioneer Theater. I don't think I'll be doing a post-film Q&A, but I should be meeting up with friends afterward--probably 2A once again--to reminisce about the string of seven consecutive sell-outs the likes of which Lower Manhattan has never seen. Seriously, this is like when THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT opened at the Angelika back in the day. Amazing.
Back in reality, I'd like to thank the large handful of people who actually made the effort to see the film over the past seven days. It means a lot to me.
By the way, I'm still trying to wrap my head around this past weekend's teleportation into Bela Tarr's black-and-white Hungary. Suffice to say, it was certainly one for the ages.
Speaking of one for the ages--or at least for this season--I'd like to congratulate Maryland on their passionate comeback against North Carolina on Sunday. Granted, UNC dropped the ball, but the Terps stepped up in a way that I haven't seen since the Illinois game at the beginning of the season. March Madness, here we come!
Is SXSW only a little over a week away? Yikes, but a good yikes!
