When Your Friend Is About to Become a Superstar

I always knew Danny McBride was a truly gifted soul. When he finally got his chance to shine as Bust-Ass in ALL THE REAL GIRLS, I thought his moment had come. Well, it turns out, that brilliant performance went largely unnoticed, at least in most Hollywood circles.

Flash forward to Sundance 2006. This time, Danny was the co-writer and full-fledged star of a feature, THE FOOT-FIST WAY, which got him the attention that those of us who knew him thought would have come much sooner.

But then something strange happened. Without anyone having even seen THE FOOT-FIST WAY (Paramount Vantage bought it but they don't appear to be releasing it anytime soon), Danny has somehow managed to catapult himself into the soon-to-be-superstar stratosphere.

As if featured roles in the latest SNL movie HOT ROD and upcoming Judd Apatow and Farrelly Brothers movies weren't enough, check out this fucking disco-tech royal flush of a jackpot.

I've always believed that Danny is far more brilliant than Chevy Chase or Will Ferrell or any of those SNL-to-big screen converts. Pretty soon you guys will believe it too.
