Tomorrow's final Group C game between the USA and Algeria is a huge must-win game for the USA, and I hope that the team comes out and plays their best. If you are a casual fan of the game or Team USA, here is a little bit of history for you on the eve of the big match; in the history of The World Cup, The USA have never won their final game in Group play. Here is the team's record:

1930 (pre-four team group format)
Argentina 6-1 USA

1934 (pre-four team group format)
Italy 7-1 USA

1950
Chile 5-2 USA

1990
Austria 2-1 USA

1994
Romania 1-0 USA

1998
Yugoslavia 1-0 USA

2002
Poland 3-1 USA

2006
Ghana 2-1 USA

If the USA can get a win tomorrow, it will be more than a big win; it will be an historic victory for this team, the nation's first ever win in the final game of Group play. If we win and win the Group, which is possible, it would be even more historic and we would likely avoid Germany in the knockout stages. It's a big, big game. I'm hoping we can make some history. Come on The Yanks!
