While I was nestled into the Scotabank Theater in Toronto watching the Thursday press screening ofLittle White Lies (really liked it), a tornado hit my neighborhood of Park Slope, Brooklyn. Emerging from the film and hearing the news, I was very worried about my wife and son (they're fine), and I had no idea how powerful the storm was until I saw this (albeit hilarious) YouTube video. We often go for walks in the neighborhood or to Prospect Park, and this storm moved so fast that it was simply lucky they were across the street at the playground when it hit; they ran inside and watched the storm from our bedroom window.
DUDE! TORNADO, BRO!
Tornado in Brooklyn. 9/18/10
My wife walked through the neighborhood this morning, taking my son to school and snapped some pictures of the damage on her iPhone. You can see them by clicking here. Crazy. Glad everyone is safe and sound but it is certainly strange to come home tonight to an obstacle course of tree limb and debris.
