Another Week, Another Workshop

teach.JPGI’d like to plug a lovely two week workshop I’ll be teaching at DVTC (Downtown Community Television Center) in NYC. The workshop will revolve around distribution and promotion of indie work. Below is a brief description from the DCTV site:

“Introduction to Distribution & Promotion: So you’ve finally finished your cinematic masterpiece - now what? This class will explore the various ways independent filmmakers have managed to get their work seen by others. Strategies for self-promotion will be discussed, as well tips for getting the attention of the conventional distribution outlets”

I'm following in your tracks. I'm an aspiring film/video producer here in SF. I'm just starting, and I'd like to bounce some ideas off you & see what you think?

Certified at the Public Access channel & going to shoot a few 30 min episodes, then will see if I can put them into a film. Going for both experience & a demo reel, as well as good work.

Any hints/help that you might offer would be HIGHLY appreciated, too. Thanks!
