Janie Jones Review

Janie Jones is a heartwarming father daughter story. It is inspired by the true story of writer/director David Rosenthal about the introduction of a father to the teenage daughter he never knew he had. Abigail Breslin, who is officially no longer a kid, plays the teen who has lived her life with her single mom and is one of those kids that has had to grow up way before her time because she has to take care of her junkie mom (played by Elisabeth Shue.)

Meet the Hottest Screenwriter Around - Abi Morgan

This is Abi Morgan's year. She's had an incredibly well reviewed show -- The Hour -- air in England and here in the States. To top that off she has not one, but two, films hitting the movie theatres this awards season -- Shame and The Iron Lady. Shame has gotten star making reviews for Michael Fassbender (and there are talks of an Oscar nomination) and The Iron Lady hasn't even yet started to unroll.

Borgen Premieres Saturday Night on Link TV

For those of you out there who still wish Commander in Chief had lasted more than a handful of episodes I have some good news. The Danes (who actually just elected their own female Prime Minister -- Helle Thorning-Schmidt) have exported a new political series - Borgen. And the even better news is that NBC has bought the show and will remake it with the team form Friday Night Lights.
