Morgan’s adaptation will be a modern day retelling of the classic play. The project will be produced by Debra Hayward and Working Title. Taming of the Shrew was adapted most recently in 1999 in the now teen classic 10 Things I Hate About You, starring Julia Stiles.

For a more recent adaptation than 10 Things, check out the delightful Taming of the Shrew included in the BBC's Shakespeare (Re)Told series. Written by Shirley Wainwright, it features the incredibly talented Shirley Henderson playing Katherine Minola as a rising conservative MP who wants to run for the leadership. I can't recommend it highly enough.
