Forbes Releases Hollywood's Highest Paid Actresses List

Forbes recently released their annual highest paid actress list. The list is unfortunately, unsurprisingly very white and very young. And several of the actresses such as Angelina Jolie and Natalie Portman weren't even in films in the last year when the list was calculated (June 2012-June 2013).

Two is Just Too Many Women for Spiderman to Deal With

I noticed on twitter some chatter earlier today about the fact that Shailene Woodley who is about to cover EW with her new film Divergent (which looks like it could be a real successor to The Hunger Games) will no longer be a part of the second Amazing Spiderman movie playing MJ Watson.

Branding The Oscar Body

If this year’s Oscars known as the "women's superbowl" only attracted half (39.3 million to be exact) the viewing audience of that great male gladiator event, that’s still way more than enough people to make an enormous impact on the body ideals and aspirations of girls and women who buy the fashion lines and accessories and makeover surgeries (AKA “aesthetic medicine”) such as the silicone implants and butt lifts that inspire fans to become clones of their favorite hot movie star.

Oscar Thoughts: Boys, Boys and More Boys

Here's my thing about the Oscars. There were women everywhere. We can't stop talking about the great dresses. Women were also there as great presenters (like the crew from Bridesmaids and Emma Stone) YET at the same time it felt like there were no women there. Because really, hardly any women won anything significant on Sunday night.

The Help Wins Big at the SAG Awards

Check out this image of the cast of the Help winning best ensemble at the SAG Awards last night. I'm pretty sure we won't see that many women on a stage again at the same time winning an award (at least not this Oscar season.) Just take it in because it is beautiful.
