  Up until the early 2000s Robert Downey Jr was coked up, in & out of jail and rehab, and was found passed out in the bed of a neighbor's child but you wouldn't know that by how the media treats him. He's not continually referred to as wild, weird and eccentric. I call this the Penis Pass. Have a penis? You are allowed to grow, make different and better choices, and move on without one's past being continually brought up. Lack a penis? And you're fucked.
  
  I saw last night's interview and Angelina seems to be an intelligent, thoughtful and a bold risk-taker. She gets it. IT being the importance of sometimes doing the thing that is scary. The thing that might cause you to fall flat on your face or to soar high but in the end the outcome will make you grow as a person.

  I agree with Faye. A. Jolie is a human being with many flaws and strengths. Keep in mind that much of her flaws really have to do with common flaws among her generation. Not everyone is so daring, weak, or experimental (however you want to perceive dabbling in drugs as your peers do or being sexually adventurous) but I don't fault her for it. She cares about our world beyond her personal life and herself and she is sane and intelligent enough to work hard and work smart. To quote Stephen Pinker, "many women are more achievement oriented than most men". Well guess what, Angelina makes more money and is a higher achiever than most men. She is also producing work that people want to see. Her personal life is not worse than that of many U.S. presidents.
