The Cinema Eye Honors.

Cinema Eye has announced the 15 nonfiction short film finalists for their 2014 Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Short Filmmaking award.

The announcement was made on the opening day of the Camden International Film Festival. 2014 will mark the 5th year that the festival and Cinema Eye have partnered to celebrate nonfiction filmmaking.

This year's list includes Laura Poitras, a previous Cinema Eye winner, and Eva Weber, who has two films on the list. She's the first person to have two films in the finals at the same time. If both are nominated, she'd be the first person ever to have two nominations in the same category in the same year.

Nominees for short film and features will be announced in November. The 7th annual awards ceremony will be held in New York in January.

Here are the women directors nominated. You can find a full list of nominees here.
