Trailer Watch: Top of the Lake - a Mini-Series Directed by Jane Campion

It's always important to note when something by Jane Campion is about to be released.  Next week starts a seven part mini series Top of the Lake written and directed by Campion.  It stars Elisabeth Moss as a tough young detective investigating the disappearance of a pregnant teenager in the isolated backwoods of New Zealand. It premiered earlier in the year at Sundance and Berlin. Holly Hunter also stars.

Jane Campion and Naomi Foner Included in Sundance Premieres Lineup

Sundance announced the films in their Premieres and Documentary Premieres categories.  With films directed by Jane Campion and Naomi Foner amongst many women-centric films and a documentary about Anita Hill, this announcement continues the awesome news that half of the previously announced Sundance lineup were films directed by women. It looks to be a great festival.
