Ellen Page

Ellen Page is in talks to star in Queen and Country based on the comic by Greg Rucka.

Page would play Tara Chace, a British SOS operative, whose missions take her all over the world to protect the queen and her country. However, after Chace carries out an assassination, her identity becomes compromised and she must go on the run. The project has a script written by Ryan Condal with no director currently attached.

Page is no stranger to action or the comic book world--she played Kitty Pryde in X-Men: The Last Stand and will be reprising her role in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past. In a recent interview with Vulture, Page said that she'd love to do a solo Kitty Pryde movie.

After this summer's discussion about the lack of female superheroes/action stars in films, it'll be great to have Page helming one.

She can currently be seen in Lynn Shelton's Touchy Feely which is in limited release now.

She has a great personality for the type of superheroine I'd like to see. I didn't realize she had been in X-Men but I do remember her turn in the faux superhero film Super.
