forbes 100

Here's some great news.  Women and Hollywood was just named one of the 100 Best Websites for Women by Forbes.  We are incredibly honored and humbled by this honor for the third year in a row!

Here's what they had to say about us:

Women are more than 50% of the population, film ticket buyers and TV watchers, yet are not represented in equal numbers on screen or behind the scenes. Melissa Silverstein's W&H indiewire blog is a call to arms.

We strive each and every day to share important news for people in the industry and people who consume entertainment --which is all of us.  We hope that the information is at times inspirational, aspirational, helpful, frustrating, and anger provoking. And we hope that this site makes you look at the pop culture you consume differently and also gives you the tools to have really important conversations with others.

We love pop culture but we want it to be better, more representative and more gender balanced.

That's why we do what we do each and every day.  We couldn't do it without your support and readership.

So on behalf of Kerensa and myself and all the other people who contribute to the site - THANK YOU.
