Director Karyn Kusama (GirlfightAeon FluxJennifer's Body) has just completed shooting The Invitation, the second project financed by Gamechanger Films. The thriller finds a man (Logan Marshall-Green) at a dinner party paranoid that his ex-wife and her new husband are up to no good.

Gamechanger Films is the only for-profit film fund dedicated to backing works directed or co-directed by female filmmakers. Their debut project was Land Ho!

“Gamechanger decided to finance The Invitation for two primary reasons: a great script and a strong, versatile director in Karyn Kusama,” said fund president Mynette Louie. “This is a suspenseful story that contains intense emotional drama, action, and blood — all of which Karyn has previously shown herself to be adept at. We loved her approach to the script, and wanted to empower her to make this film on her own creative terms.”
