This young woman is so hot. She seems to be at the top of the list for the youth set. She can do action - Hanna; she can do drama - Atonement. She can do everything and anything. She just signed to star in Stephenie Meyer's The Host which will be on sale next week at Cannes.

Andrew Niccol wrote the script and for a time it looked like Susanna White (Nanny McPhee Returns) would direct, but she is no longer on the project according to Deadline.

This one could be very big if they get it right. An action film that stars a woman -(ok, a teen) with a built in audience. For all the complaints that rise about Stephenie Meyers' writing, this woman is creating roles for women and girls in Hollywood in movies that are successful and people want to see. I hope they try and get a female director back into the mix. This could be a big box office winner and it would be great for a woman to get a box office success under her belt. It would go a long way to help other female directors get the big gigs.
