New Trailer: Ginger & Rosa - Directed by Sally Potter

Sally Potter's gorgeous Ginger & Rosa was one of my favorite films from last year's AFI Film Festival. A coming of age story, set during the Cold War, best friends Ginger (Elle Fanning) and Rosa (Alice Englert) are inseparable until both step outside of their assigned roles within their friendship to disastrous results.

Trailer Watch: Admission Written by Karen Croner, Starring Tina Fey

Tina Fey stars in Admission, adapted by Karen Croner from a novel by Jean Hanff Korelitz, a film that looks to be more of a dramatic foray for Fey. She plays a college admissions officer who receives a call from a high school teacher (Paul Rudd) who believes a student of his may be the son she gave up for adoption when she was in college.

TIFF Trailer: English Vinglish Directed by Gauri Shinde

The film captures a modern day struggle experienced all too often by the un-American elite trying to make it in America: the language barrier. Sridevi's character, Shashi, is made to feel insecure by society (aka family, friends) in her inability to speak proper English. As she takes strides to fix this--by enrolling in an ESL class--Shinde shows audiences one woman's transformation from orally inept to orally mastering a language, and a culture, that was once foreign to her.  (description via the Playlist)

Toronto Trailer Watch: Lore - Directed by Cate Shortland

Australian Director Cate Shortland's first film Somersault was great and this film looks to be even better. This is one at the top of my list to see in Toronto.  Music Box has the US rights but no release date has been set.

Trailer Watch: Bachelorette - Written and Directed by Leslye Headland

This is based on the play by  Leslye Headland and premiered at Sundance in January.  The more I see information about this movie, the more I want to see it.  I am also excited to see more of Rebel Wilson who was hysterical in her scene in Bridesmaids.
