Toni Collette and Geena Davis are coming back to your television screens in two new bad-ass women focused television shows. It’ll be great to have these two extremely talented actresses back on our TV screens.
Toni Collette is heading back to television with a new pilot for CBS. Collette will star in Hostages, as a surgeon who is chosen to operate on the president, who becomes entangled in a political conspiracy after her family is taken hostage.
The CBS drama comes from a former Homeland writer. It will be Collette’s return to television following the terrific United States of Tara.
Geena Davis will star in an untitled bounty hunter drama for TNT. Based on the real life of bounty hunter, Mackenzie Green, Davis will play a bounty hunter and bail bondswoman who uses strange methods to go about her work, which gives her an advantage in an unpredictable line of work. Similarly to Collette, this marks Davis’s full-time return to television since 2005’s Commander in Chief, where she played the first female president.
