This is Kristen Wiig's first leading role onscreen since Bridesmaids. I hope people are not expecting Bridesmaids 2 because this looks a bit more intense. Formerly titled Imogene, Wiig plays a playwright who has a nervous breakdown and is forced to move back in with her estranged mom (Annette Bening).
The film is written by Michelle Morgan and directed by the American Splendor duo Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini.
The movie opens July 19. We are already on line for our tickets.
