The Hollywood Reporter in a cover story says that it took Jennifer Lawrence 3 days to say yes to the part of a lifetime and that she is made about $500,000. (But she will make more if the film does well, and her salary is comparable to Kristen Stewart's salary in Twilight.) Her mom also called her a hypocrite for thinking that she would lose her cred doing a franchise movie. (Didn't she already cross the bridge with the X-Men prequel?)
The final budget for the film came in $90 million (before subsidies). The first Twilight film was made for $35 million.
I think her comparison to the music biz is shaky - a film director is much more like a record
