Good grief -- is Joey and the BFVA trying to get the waiters and florists who give out the Golden Globes more credibility? Some of these shows that performers got nominated for I've never even read about or heard someone mention. (MTV has a sitcom -- really?) While I worship The Daily Show, I wouldn't call it a talk show by virtue of its one interview segment and, if that's enough to make it qualify, where is The Colbert Report? The bigger question is how do they group all those late night shows: Conan, Daily Show, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon into the talk show category and then, out of the blue, toss in The View? What the hell? Why didn't they include the few remaining soap operas as possibilities in the drama categories if they are including daytime? I think a better name than the Critics Choice Award might be the Joey Berlin "Pay More Attention to Me" Awards.
