Here's a roundup of some of the most notable pilot news from the last week.

Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers' production company just nabbed a comedy from Cougar Town co-producers Christine Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein for ABC. The comedy will revolve around a group of friends who are brought together after a turn of events. Pietrosh and Goldstein will write and executive produce. Rhimes and Beers are set to executive produce as well.

Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers to Produce Comedy From 'Cougar Town' Duo (Exclusive) (The Hollywood Reporter)

NBC has picked up a comedy produced by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock from 30 Rock writer Colleen McGuinness. Written and executive produced by McGuinness, the workplace comedy focuses on a young woman who is looking to reconnect with her father and finds a new home and family on Fire Island. Fey and Carlock will executive produce.

Nahnatchka Khan has received a put pilot commitment for Fresh Off the Boat--a comedy about an immigrant family. Based on Eddie Huang's memoir of the same name the show will follow a Chinese family who move to Orlando in 1990s. Khan is writing and executive producing.
