Overseas it grossed $340.9 million, making it the best global opening of the franchise. Back on US shores it almost hit the opening of New Moon which was $142.8. Breaking Dawn Part 2 was just shy of that figure with $141.3 million.
Interestingly enough, the final film in the franchise also attracted more men who made up 21% of ticket buyers. Women made up 79% of the audience. And 50% of movie goers were 25 and over.

I can't help it. It doesn't matter how bad these Twilight movies are or are not, it makes me giggly and happy when they crushed James Bond in the box office. Go Bella, go.
