Showtime has ordered 12 episodes of two series and both are created by women.

Michelle Ashford (The Pacific) created the drama Masters of Sex which tells the story of Williams Masters and Virginia Johnson and their groundbreaking work on human sexuality.  Michael Sheen and Lizzy Kaplan play the leads.

Ann Biderman (Southland) created the Liev Schreiber starring drama Ray Donovan.  The show is about a "professional trouble-shooter whose job is to serve as a kind of fixer for the city's wealthy and powerful."

Both shows will air in 2013.

Well deserved. The pilot scripts are awesome. The cast is top-notch. These two better go all the way, meaning 2nd through 5ht seasons.
