Viola Davis received an honorary doctorate degree from Providence College.  She also gave the commencement address.

Great lines:

Your authentic self is constantly trapped under the weight of the most negative forces on this world and it will be an everday battle.

The two most important days are the day you were born and the day you discover why you were born.

Don't try to label or define me because I am not what I was 10 years ago ir 10 minutes ago.  I'm all that and then some.

FYI - You should make sure to watch the whole thing.  There are excerpts at the beginning and then she gets her degree (which is beautiful) and then she gives the full address.
